Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). After moving to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma enrolled at The Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actress. The actress trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a partially-time theater school in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. By the time she turned 10, Emma had taken part in numerous Stagecoach productions and school productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film remake from J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel premiered for the first second time back in 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma by way of her Oxford Theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone as well as Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these roles. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It set new records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and also was the highest-grossing production of 2001. The film was praised by critics and its performances by the three top young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's performances "amazing". Then Emma was nominated for five prizes for her work in the film winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
